Before I Fall: Lauren Oliver
From Goodreads:
What if you only had one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life? The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death–and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.
Rating: 2/5 (it was OK)
Kate’s Review:
I think I was being kind by giving this book 2 out of 5 stars for the review. This book is Groundhog Day over and over in the view of a self-centered high school student. It would have been okay if the story had changed more and was not almost 500 pages long. It was so hard to finish and I may have skimmed near the end.

Summerland: Erin Hildebrand
From Goodreads:
It’s June 15th, the night of Nantucket High School graduation. Four juniors are driving home from a party when something goes horribly wrong and there is a crash. SUMMERLAND delves into the circumstances surrounding this accident, the roots of which lie deep in the past, with the first interactions between these four friends and their parents.
Rating: 5/5 (Loved it)
Kate’s Review:
There were parts of this book that just dragged on for me, but the story was unique and I kept thinking about it even when I was away from the book. I loved Zoe, Hobbie and Jake, but Demeter and Ava drove me bonkers. Sign of a good book? A great story that will sweep you away. This could totally be a Lifetime movie for sure
What books have you read this month?

Summerland sounds really good. I’ll have to see if my library has it!

I just couldn’t. I was sad because I heard so many good things.
I recently finished “The Perfect Hope” by Nora Roberts it was good. It is part of a trilogy.
Loved that series! I’m a huge Nora Roberts fan.
I was just thinking I needed to do a book review post. This month I read Bossypants by Tina Fey, A Map of the World by Jane Hamilton, this dumb book called Stop the Wedding by Stephanie Bond (it was free on kindle), and now I’m reading Sharp Edges by Gillian Flynn and loving it!
